Dr Booth talks to ecancer at ASCO 2025 about data he presented on from the first randomised clinical trial to specifically evaluate if a structured exercise programme can reduce the risk of recurrent or new cancer for a subset of patients with colon cancer.

For patients with stage III and high-risk stage II colon cancer, a structured exercise programme following surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy was found to reduce the risk of recurrent or new cancer and increased survival.
