Prof Cristina Stefan discusses a new ecancer Special Issue on medical education in Africa.
Prof Stefan starts by explaining why she believes that education is one of the most important pillars of society, quoting Nelson Mandela - "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
She then touches on the need for oncology nurses to specialise and sub specialise and the importance of being able to travel and work all over the continent.
To conclude Prof Stefan talks about a paper she believes to be extremely relevant to society and times we currently live in, based on the use of advanced information and communication technologies to advance oncology education in Africa.
