Dr Carlos Selemane talks to ecancer about the demographic, clinical and pathological characterisation of patients with colorectal and anal cancer followed between 2013 and 2016 at Maputo Central Hospital, Mozambique.

Dr Selemane begins by explaining what encouraged him to study colorectal cancer and how he approached such a serious issue that wasn't being researched in Mozambique.

He goes on to speak about the prospect of establishing a programme to build public awareness and education, particularly within the Ministry of Health.

Dr Selemane concludes by stating that he hopes to collaborate with other countries dealing with and researching colorectal cancer, especially countries surrounding Mozambique.
