Dr Santam Chakraborty speaks to ecancer about geographic disparities in access to cancer clinical trials in India.

Dr Chakraborty explains that cancer clinical trials are fundamental to progress in cancer care, however geographical access to cancer clinical trials is perhaps the most important factor that determines if patients participate in the clinical trial or not.

He reports that the study found significant geographic disparities in access to cancer clinical trials in India. Dr Chakraborty concludes by saying that the results should prompt discussions on how clinical trial access can be improved across India and lays out some steps on how this can be achieved.
