Toni Ward speaks to ecancer at London Global Cancer Week 2025 about her work with Louise McKenna-Mayes as a co-founder of TONIBOBANDLOU CIC.

She explains how the idea for the 'Book of Boobs' came about after their shock in discovering that there wasn't already an image library for women facing breast cancer reconstruction.

Toni discusses the process of finding models and the initial challenges posed by the perceived taboo surrounding the project, expressing deep gratitude to all those who took part.

She explains that the book is currently being used and trialled in clinical settings, that some gaps remain to be addressed, and that the hope is for every woman who has undergone a mastectomy to have access to a copy.
