To help improve the quality of breast cancer care globally, a collaboration of leading partners has created the Grand Rounds in Breast Cancer series of educational webinars. This webinar provides an in-depth exploration of the Lancet Breast Cancer Commission, published in The Lancet in April, and its roadmap for tackling urgent challenges in breast cancer care worldwide. Led by Dr Didier Verhoeven, Professor Charlotte Coles, Professor Helena Earl, and Dr. Maya Beinz, key discussions include reducing disparities in breast cancer outcomes, optimising metastatic breast cancer management, and integrating digital health innovations to promote equity.

The session highlights actionable targets for change, such as the development of global cancer registries, personalised treatment approaches, and addressing stigma surrounding metastatic disease. It underscores the importance of evidence-based guidelines, collaborative global partnerships, and the role of advocacy in advancing care standards across diverse contexts. The panel also reflects on opportunities for applying lessons learned in breast cancer research to other cancers, emphasising equity and innovation.
