Prof Richard Sullivan (Kings College London, London, UK) and Dr Dorothy Lombe (Regional Cancer Treatment Service, Palmerston North, New Zealand) discuss their paper "Silver linings: a qualitative study of desirable changes to cancer care during the COVID-19 pandemic".
They begin by discussing Dr Lombe's work leading up to the publication of the paper, particularly the work done with COVID-19.
Dr Lombe then goes on to discuss some of the key findings from her Silver Linings research.
Prof Sullivan concludes by asking Dr Lombe, in her professional opinion, where does she believe cancer care is heading in a post-pandemic world? And in particular what she believes will happen to cancer care, services and systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.
